‘Nuts in the News Wow…we actually talked A LOT this past
December…just you try to read through a whole month of Soapnut chattering
and see how long it takes LOL!! To help one along, Yahoo has this lovely
feature of timing a person out of the list once “they” feel you have
looked through the archives long enough. Got our best mental interests
at heart? I think NOT! So, here’s a brief skinny on some of the
things we’ve been up to. Birthdays…oh, they happen to the best of
us. Denise became our newest monderator..or
monitor…no MODERATOR. She is a welcome addition to our illustrious
group of wise women. And…will she flood her brother with flamingos
this spring? Stay tuned to see…. We have many new nuts in the making. Erika and Christa are expecting new babies, and Monica is expecting twins. Wow! Best of health to all you ladies!
Debbie stepped into the shop owner role and opened her new shop this month. Leni’s retiring and will now be able to play more with soap and devote time to her expanded new family. Kudos to you two! Christa got married! We wish you the best of a happy life together! Susan left the warmth of Florida and made
it safely to her new home in Virginia…brr what a change! Gini, Kathy, and Merideth were fortunate
to actually meet in person during a holiday craft show. It’s such a
big world out there and it’s always great to actually meet the people you
chat with every day!
Ellen became a certified “nut”, taking
her soap on the road to be unmolded and cut in her hotel room. Learning new things..Marian and Steph started Rosemary Gladstar’s herbalism course and maybe we can pull Christa back into it too. Khadijah is planning to write a new book on this subject and graciously offered to let us be her guinea pigs. Between Miriam, Khadijah, Becky and Camille, we have a wonderful resource for all things green. Peg played with the oven…making pot roast and in the discussion we all got a few great ideas for the illusive “perfect” roast. Camille, well wow, what hasn’t she done
<big smile>. Writing (and being published), doll making, teaching,
beading, soaping. She is a busy woman who still manages to stop and
answer our questions. We had the great milk price poll and the
Sandalwood tease…the later is just no fair since some of us never knew about
that sale way back when.
